Terms & Conditions

1. Design Approval

The design, materials, and finish are approved by the client prior to production. Any design or specification changes requested after approval may result in additional costs and extended timelines.

2. Natural Material Variation

Solid wood is a natural material and may display variations in colour, grain, and texture. These natural differences are not considered defects and contribute to the uniqueness of each piece.

3. Quality & Craftsmanship

All work is executed to the standards of Red Oak Finishing + Design Inc. Minor variations and hand-finished characteristics are inherent to the craftsmanship of custom furniture.

4. Client Dissatisfaction

Due to the custom nature of this project, deposits and payments are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or fabrication has begun. Red Oak Finishing + Design will make reasonable efforts to address concerns, but subjective preferences cannot be grounds for cancellation or refund.

5. Delivery & Installation

The client is responsible for ensuring clear access and appropriate site conditions for delivery and installation. Additional labour or modifications required on-site may be subject to additional charges.

6. Payment Terms

A 25% deposit is required to begin work. Balance is due upon completion and installation. Overdue balances are subject to a 2.5% monthly interest charge.

7. Warranty & Care

Red Oak Finishing + Design Inc. warrants its workmanship for 12 months under normal indoor residential use. This warranty does not cover damage caused by humidity, temperature changes, sunlight, misuse, or failure to follow recommended care instructions.

Solid wood is a natural material and may expand, contract, or shift slightly with seasonal changes in humidity and temperature. These natural movements, minor surface checks, or variations are not considered defects and are not covered under warranty.

8. Ownership & Photography

Red Oak Finishing + Design Inc. retains the right to photograph completed work for portfolio and marketing purposes. All original designs remain the intellectual property of Red Oak Finishing + Design Inc. unless otherwise agreed in writing


By approving an estimate or submitting a deposit, the client acknowledges agreement with these Terms & Conditions.
